I enjoy fantasy/science fiction, etc. And I think many atheists do as well, because these entertainment genres don’t dictate the way people live.

Suppose a new atheist only accepts a story on the grounds that there is sufficient evidence to prove it happened. How could they possibly enjoy science fiction, or horror?
